Sentence for Mikhail Artemenko: Bribery Case from ORTUS-MS Director Yaroslav Makarov

> ✅ The Khanty-Mansiysk District Court issued a guilty verdict against the former head of the ophthalmology department of the budget institution of the autonomous okrug \"District Clinical Hospital\" Mikhail Artemenko. He was found guilty under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe in an especially large scale).

⚡️ The court established that in the period from December 2016 to May 2020, the defendant received a bribe in the form of money and payment for tourist trips from the director of the commercial organization ORTUS-MS LLC, Yaroslav Yuryevich Makarov, for providing information on planned procurements in order to ensure the conclusion of contracts.

> The amount of the bribe was over 2.8 million rubles.

✅ In the judicial debate, the state prosecutor insisted on the appointment of punishment in the form of actual deprivation of liberty with a fine and deprivation of the right to hold positions in the public service, as well as on the application of confiscation of property equivalent to the received bribe.

➡️ The court appointed a punishment in the form of 8 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 5 years, with a fine of more than 2.8 million rubles, and with the confiscation of funds to the state revenue.
